At the beginning of the school year, I bought a "starving student card" from the college bookstore. It has tons of great offers on it.. Mostly "buy one of this, get one of this" type of deals. But there is a section that is for entirely free stuff. We hadn't taken much advantage of this card.. Until this last Wednesday evening. We decided that for our date, we would drive around town and piece together our free dinner using our starving student card! It was so much fun!

Okay, so it's not the healthiest dinner, but it was delicious and it was a fun way to spend quality time with each other! After we acquired our spoils, we went to the new park over by Ben's parents house and enjoyed our dinner near the pond. I love spending time with Ben, and we haven't been able to do much of that lately. But, with our One Year Anniversary coming up next week, we'll be able to spend at least a few days together without any distractions! We're going back to Moab for three days to celebrate our first year of marriage. I'm so excited to go back and do all the fun things again that we did last year!
Also, on Wednesday (the day we're coming back from Moab) we will find out if Ben was accepted into the Air Force (we're hoping for a great big YES!!)
In other news, I was accepted to the Elementary Education program at Dixie State College, and I will be starting the program in the fall (if I don't fail my math class this summer, that is).
I was just hired to work in the box office at Tuachan, and I'm so excited! It's a seasonal position, that will run from the beginning of June until the end of December. The season doesn't usually last that long, but this year they are putting on "White Christmas" in November and December, in addition to the usually scheduled three broadway musicals they put on in the summer. And the shows they are doing this summer are going to be fantastic! They are doing Disney's "Aladdin," "Hairspray," and "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. " (I've never heard of that last one) Tuachan is one of only two theaters that are being allowed to perform Aladdin this year. Last year they put on Disney's "The Little Mermaid," and the year before they did "Tarzan." The Disney people just keep loving what they see, so they keep giving Tuachan rights to perform their shows! I'm going to try and get a third job for the summer, so I'll be rather busy! But when school starts I will most likely stop working at Skyline Investments and the third job that I find, and only work at Tuachan and possibly as a substitute teacher two days a week (I will only have class on Tues., Wed., & Thurs.). Ben has been staying really busy with work, he is often getting more than 30 hours of work a week. And he has been working with composing again, making some tweaks and fixes on the musical written by a professor at DSC that he helped write the music for.
We're both staying busy, and enjoying life in general! We are so grateful for each day we get to spend together on this beautiful earth, and we look forward to many, many more years together!
