Honestly people, why else would I let nearly 18 months pass by between each of my last three posts?
Oh well, I guess a new year is as good a time as any to try to get back into the swing of things.
So, for posterity's sake, here's a quick update on what's been happening in our lives!
I graduated from USU in May 2016 and got a job teaching 6th grade math and science at Alice C. Harris Intermediate in Tremonton, UT. I taught with wonderful people, the kids and administration were great, and overall it was a really good learning experience for me! I'm glad I was able to use my degree for a year before becoming a stay at home mom full time.
Ben graduated from USU in May 2017 and got a job at Syscon Automation in Sandy. He's been working there for 8 months now and is really enjoying it!
As a result of him getting this job, we had to leave Logan (we are still sad we had to move!) and we bought our first home in Eagle Mountain.
The day before I turned 26, I found out I was pregnant, and a few weeks later we learned we would be having twins! To say I was shocked would be an understatement. My pregnancy wasn't too bad, at least until the end. Amelia Beth and Aurora Deen were born at American Fork Hospital on September 16th at 12:13am and 12:20am, respectively. Millie weighed 4lbs 7oz and Rory weighed 4lbs 12oz. I'm planning on writing a separate post about their birth and NICU stay in the near future.
I started a little business making hair bows and bowties, and I named the business after the twins because finding bows that were affordable and not in sets was ridiculous. So I decided to fix that problem myself! I'm loving making bows and have a big event I'm participating in on my birthday.
In our new neighborhood we've already made some good friends, and are slowly getting to know more people. Ben was called to be Summit Ward's Sunday School President, and I was called to be our ward organist. Evelyn is now officially in CTR 4 in primary and Rex is now in the senior nursery.
That's all the major hooplah that has been happening around here since I posted last. It's my intention to do this more regularly, but I'm not promising anything. Life with four kids ages four and under is a little nutso sometimes!
