Moab, UT

Is a beautiful place! And so is the five hour drive. I swear the landscape changed dramatically at least every half hour.

We stayed in the cutest little cabin about 8 miles outside of Moab.

The Kitchen/TV

Front Room

Bathroom, don't mind the mess. [:

The view from our back door

Our back door [:

Grill/Picnic Table

Little Fish! He was such a trooper hauling those bikes all week. [:

We took a scenic drive and saw lots of petroglyphs and some dino tracks [:

It got a little rainy [:

Bear? Mountain Lion? We don't know, haha.

Dinos!

Coolest clouds I've ever seen!

Indians put logs up in this crevasse so they could climb up the rocks!

Pondering [:
We went to Arches National Park, too.

Balanced Rock

These pretty flowers were everywhere!

Hehe {:

Turret Arch

The Windows!

This is the BEST bread in the whole world!

Double Arch

It rained for just a few minutes and the path was flooded

If you look really closely, you can see Ben [:

This arch was huge!

:P

People used to live in this..

We made some friends [:

The famous Delicate Arch! This big guy is on your license plate [: Yay Utah!

This is what it looks like if you stand next to the Arch and look down (on one side)

And this is what you see if you look down on the other side!

The pathway up to Delicate Arch. It's only 1.5 miles, but goes up in elevation 480 ft!

Hehe [:

Cactus Flower

I'm using my binocular skills [:

Yay! More petroglyphs!
We also went up to Dead Horse Point State Park
Solar Evaporation Ponds

More pretty cactus flowers

At the binoculars again [:

Silly [:
We went mountain biking too!
Ready to go!

The view

Takin' a break [:
We had some really good food in Moab at a place called Smitty's Gold Steak.

Being silly while waiting for our food [:

Ben got a rib-eye and I got a top sirloin with shrimp [: Best steak we've ever had! Ben said, "It's so good, I'm going to cry!"

Homemade cocktail sauce. The best!
The roll was so big that the box wouldn't close!
Yep, we went to the brewery.

To get gelato! [:

But I think our favorite part of the trip was the dinner/boat tour/sound & light show that we did [:

Super cool truck we found in the parking lot

Waiting for dinner
Our dinner was cowboy fashion, everything was in dutch ovens, and it was all fantastic!

We were given these "love birds" because someone on the staff found out we were on our honeymoon, haha [:

The boat at the dock

There were Australians sitting right behind us. I love Australian accents!

There's a face on the cliff wall!

gorgeous sunset!

Arches are everywhere!
For the sound and light show, there were huge spotlights that lit up the canyon walls while we listened to stories about how the rocks were formed and about indians and cowboys and LDS pioneers. It was super cool!

We went down to Monticello to do a session at the temple. The Monticello temple is small, but is so beautiful!

Before we left Moab to come home, we couldn't resist another trip to the brewery for some more gelato!
He says it was a chocolate Mexi-stache, I say it looked more like lip liner [:
